 | | Wairarapa’s only ‘Four-Star-Plus’ Hotel & Conference Centre seeks to appoint a dedicated, dynamic Conference Sales Manager to drive incremental Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, & Events (M.I.C.E) business into our extensively-refurbished resort facility, as well as our sister Trust House Limited properties. Exciting developments are currently planned to expand and consolidate this portfolio. This new role will ideally operate out of Masterton at Copthorne Hotel & Resort Solway Park Wairarapa, reporting on a day-to-day basis directly to the resort General Manager, with potentially extensive nationwide and some international travel, as required. Key personal attributes will include:- - a proven sales track record in the New Zealand M.I.C.E industry - well-presented and personable, with excellent listening and influencing skills - highly disciplined self-starter, who can also readily accept relevant direction at GM level - dynamic and pro-active personal commitment to the achievement of specific financial targets - accomplished administrative abilities, including strong oral and written communication skills - strong competencies in market research, planning, and the demonstrable ability to actually deliver the business - active personal competencies in social networking, within diverse professional environments. This role would suit an experienced hospitality sales professional who can embrace periodic travel away from home, and who is motivated by demanding but achievable financial targets. This is very much a full-time opportunity based in the wonderful Wairarapa, but could also by mutual agreement be based primarily in Wellington, for the right candidate. We offer an attractive package, including vehicle and incentive bonus scheme.
